ROXY HOSTS DESIGN-A-SURFBOARD CONTEST FOR STYLE WEEK ORANGE COUNTY™

Irvine, California, July 22, 2008 – Orange County surfer girls, aspiring fashion designers and artists have the opportunity to design their own Roxy artwork. The winner will have their artwork applied to not only a surfboard but to t-shirts given as gift-with-purchase at the Irvine Spectrum Center Quiksilver store during Style Week Orange County. Roxy is hosting the contest in conjunction with the Quiksilver Boardrider’s Club store at Irvine Spectrum Center.

Contest entrants can get creative by drawing, painting or using digital images to create a design incorporating the Roxy logo, with one entry allowed per person. Designs will be accepted now through August 7 at the Quiksilver Boardrider’s Club at Irvine Spectrum Center.

Three top finalists will be determined by a panel of Roxy designers. Then the three final designs will be applied to Cordell Surfboards and displayed at the Irvine Spectrum Center Quiksilver store from August 23 – 29, when shoppers will vote for their favorite styles. The winning board can be seen during Style Week Orange County in the House of Style at the Irvine Spectrum Center Sept. 8–13.

The winner will also receive a $500 Quiksilver gift card along with their design applied to Roxy t-shirts and given as a gift-with-purchase during Style Week Orange County. The first runner up will receive a $100 Quiksilver gift card and the second runner up a $50 Quiksilver gift card.
